San Francisco police said they are investigating a burglary and a shooting that were reported at different times on Saturday morning.
Police said officers responded to the 1200 block of 22nd Ave. around 5:08 a.m. regarding a burglary that had just occurred. At the scene, officers met with the victim, who authorities say fired a gun during the incident.
The suspect left the scene and was not found by officers, according to the police department.
Minutes later, around 5:28 a.m., police said officers responded to the 400 block of 47th Ave. regarding a shooting. At the scene, responding officers located a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, authorities said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police department.
Police said this is an active investigation and clarified they have not confirmed whether the person who was shot is connected to the burglary.
